Sonali supports Get Healthy San Mateo County’s Healthy Economy efforts and Anchor Institution strategies of County Health to provide equitable access to economic growth opportunities. Sonali brings over 10 years of experience in advancing equity and making healthy lifestyle choices accessible to low-income people of color in different parts of the US.  She has a strong research background and rich community based experience which has equipped her to be mindful and vigilant of community voices and concerns, advocate for the community, build coalitions, and co-design programs to address the specific needs. Her evaluation skills and contributions have been instrumental in improving program effectiveness and implementing institutional policy changes. She is passionate about working with diverse partners and collectively serving historically marginalized communities. When she is not working, she enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling, and watching comedy shows.
