Marc Meulman joined San Mateo County Health on August 31 as the new Director of Public Health Policy and Planning. Marc brings a commitment to public health values and a passion for the work we do in public health. Marc began his career in public health in Kalamazoo County, MI as the Deputy Director of the Health and Community Services Department. From there, he joined the Orange County, CA, public health team as the division manager for Disease Control and Epidemiology for five years and then served three years as the Chief of Operations for Public Health. Marc is excited to join the committed public health professionals and community members of San Mateo County to support the coordination and delivery of high-quality public health services in San Mateo County.
