The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) updated nine performance indicators for the San Francisco Bay Area, including housing costs for new renters in the Bay Area, which has increased nearly 45% since 2010. Check the Vital Signs website for an interactive map of median home sale price data from 1997 to 2015 and discover how prices in their neighborhood have changed over time, as well as other latest indicators. Vital signs is working on adding a fourth dimension to their existing indicators framework. They currently organize their indicators by Transportation, Land Use, Environment and Economy. They will be adding an “Equity” section soon, reflecting the importance of achieving equity through regional planning and transportation. We’ll share more on this new feature as soon as it’s public!
