Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Funding Announced!
Safe Routes to School (SRTS) 2019-2020 Update! In the latest round of Safe Routes to School funding, $240,000 was awarded to 17 schools and school districts. These 17 schools and districts included two priority schools (Westlake and Woodrow Wilson) highlighted in our report, Creating Safer Streets Near Schools. This grant funds education and encouragement events, which have already started at some schools including Walk to School Day, which was October 2, 2019, and Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day, which was November 14, 2019.
