On November 14, Ravenswood School District in East Palo Alto worked with Safe Routes to School to celebrate Ruby Bridges Day. They joined schools across the country to honor Ruby Bridges for her courage in fighting for equal education. The day started with a walk from Jack Farrell Park to Costaño School of the Arts. After the walk, schools in the district taught students about Ruby Bridges’ story and why she is important. The event helped everyone reflect on the ongoing fight for equality in education.
