Hello, my name is Kacie and I am excited to be joining the team as the Public Health Equity Officer and Health Equity, Policy & Planning Program Manager.  My career in public service dates back to 2007 and throughout the course of my career I have remained committed to designing systems responsive to the needs of community members, with a particular emphasis on creating effective pathways for communities that have been historically excluded. 

Before joining Health Equity, Policy & Planning, my prior roles have spanned service provision, project management, system redesign, and workforce development – all with the ultimate goal of creating systems that are easier for community members who are most marginalized. From the moment I started my career in public service I understood the significance of this and over the course of my career, my understanding and commitment has continued to grow. 

I’ll be joining Health Equity, Policy, and Planning September 30, 2024 and look forward to continuing to support and work alongside community members, colleagues, and partners as we navigate the journey to a healthier, more equitable San Mateo County.
