The County of San Mateo is in the process to create a housing portal to make it easier for affordable housing applicants to find below-market-rate units. Building on the experience in San Francisco that launched a centralized housing portal a few years back called DAHLIA, the County of San Mateo hopes to launch a similar portal this year tailored to the needs and opportunities of our unique county. Kudos to our sister agencies, the Department of Housing, who is leading this process and the Information Services Department for funding this first phase of this work to make it easier to find much needed affordable units for our residents.
