We are excited to announce that Health Policy & Planning has officially changed to Health Equity, Policy & Planning. This update reflects our commitment to ensuring that health equity is at the center of everything we do. It acknowledges the focus of our work to support equity infrastructure and helps to identify the team as a resource for equity work to the division and county as a whole. 

Incorporating “Equity” into our name emphasizes our recognition of the persistent disparities in health outcomes among different communities. By placing equity at the forefront, we aim to address the social, economic, and environmental factors that create unequal opportunities for health. This change signals our dedication to efforts that ensures everyone, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to lead a healthy life.
