On October 29, team members joined the #ImReady Reimagine Everything conference hosted by AAPI Women Lead in Oakland, California’s Chinatown. This conference, inspired by Dr. Grace Lee Boggs’ speech ‘Reimagine Everything’, touched on equity topics including transformative justice, mutual aid, community safety/ emergency preparedness, violence in our communities, healing justice, and more. Here are some calls to action shared during the conference that have inspired our team: 

• Be Courageous. Root yourself in courage to speak your truth, consider new possibilities, and push beyond your comfort zone. 
• Re-think ‘community’ as a verb and not something that is static. Community holds a lot of power and there may be pockets in the work to leverage that power, because equity work is not equity work if it does not involve the community. 
• We can reimagine everything and center safety, belonging, respect, and love in our communities and in ourselves.
