Students at Cesar Chavez Ravenswood Middle School had the opportunity to sample local persimmons. They tried fresh persimmons and dry persimmons.  Students voted on which type was their favorite. Votes were close but the favorite came out to be the dry persimmon. Try out a CalFresh Healthy Living Salad and substitute persimmons for apples or peaches in the Winter.
