Our Safe Routes to School Equity Initiative was featured on April 14th at the American Planning Association’s 2019 National Conference in San Francisco. Our Health Policy and Planning staff, Brian Oh, showcased a successful model of bringing local city leaders together from school districts, municipalities and community-based organizations to prioritize equitable transportation investments in San Mateo County’s most vulnerable communities using a data-driven process. By working together, we ensure that healthy transportation options are afforded to everyone in San Mateo County.
