CHIP Steering Committee Retreat
The first Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) Steering Committee Retreat was held October 25. The CHIP Steering Committee consisted of leaders from Public Health, Policy & Planning and representatives from managed care plans.
Retreat time allowed members to strategize around collective impact and community engagement. Best practices were also shared and a foundation was developed to strengthen collaboration with managed care plans. This will support the shared goal of addressing community priorities identified via the CHIP.
As the steering committee embarks on the 3-year journey of CHIP implementation, their work will be critical in linking the priorities of Mental Health, Access to Health Care Services and Social Determinants of Health.
The CHIP priority area work groups are open to new members. Learn more and consider joining a work group by contacting Jiana Riguera (jriguera@smcgov.org).
