CCCS Embarks on Civic Empowerment Training Program for Racial Equity
We’re excited to announce CCCS Racial Equity Action Subcommittee partners will be rolling out a Civic Empowerment Training Program in the coming year, as an important and immediate strategy needed for advancing racial equity in San Mateo County. Targeting youth ages 15-25 from underserved communities in San Mateo County, the idea for the program surfaced from data showing San Mateo County having the least diverse elected leadership in the Bay Area and the ongoing need to lift up youth voices to shape local policymaking processes. San Mateo County Health is seeking competitive quotes from qualified organizations to build out and implement this training program in Spring 2021. The deadline to apply is January 11, 2021.
