County of San Mateo: There are multiple vacancies on various County Boards and Commissions: One seat on the San Mateo County Child Care Partnership Council (CCPC), three seats on the Housing and Community Development Committee, two seats on the North Fair Oaks Council and two seats on the Agricultural Advisory Committee.

There is one vacant seat on the San Mateo County Child Care Partnership Council (CCPC). The purpose of the CCPC is to provide a forum for the identification of local priorities for child care and early learning; develop policies, strategies and resources to meet the needs identified within those priorities and to carry out the mandates for Local Planning Councils as defined in Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC) Sections 10480 – 10487, and other activities designated by the State of California. The Housing and Community Development Committee has three vacant seats. This fifteen-member committee makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors, through the Director of the Department of Housing, related to the expenditure of all housing and community development funds to review and provide a forum for public comment on affordable housing and community development needs. The North Fair Oaks (NFO) Community Council has two vacant seats, one member and one youth. The NFO Community Council addresses the needs of the community and serves as an advisory council to the Board of Supervisors on those matters which relate to the North Fair Oaks community, including, but not limited to, advice on matters of public health, safety, welfare, public works, policy, planning, community development, program development, and services pertaining to North Fair Oaks. The Agricultural Advisory Committee has two vacant seats. This fifteen-member Committee actively assists in the preservation of agriculture on the Coastside, advising and recommending to the County Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors. Deadline to apply is November 11.
