Board of Supervisors Adopts Racial Equity Resolution
We applaud the leadership of the Board of Supervisors to continue to advance racial equity! The adoption of the Racial Equity Resolution builds upon two resolutions that the Board adopted last year, one in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and another one that acknowledged racism as a public health crisis. The Racial Equity Resolution outlines a series of actions for the County to implement that will help us better serve all communities in the county. Among these actions are the creation of community engagement infrastructure to inform equity efforts and the need to allocate resources to operationalize equity efforts. This resolution reinforces our commitment to continue to work hard to eradicate racial health inequities.
