Contra Costa is looking at how to reduce poverty and has introduced a plan to establish a $15/hour minimum wage for the County by 2020. A study presented to the Board of Supervisors showed that 33% of the County’s workforce would see their incomes rise, with adults, low-income families, and communities of color receiving the most benefits.
