A new report from the California Budget & Policy Center looks at inequality and economic security in Silicon Valley. The main finding? Robust economic growth has led to some economic gains for low- and middle-income families, but many are still struggling. One in five residents in Silicon Valley are facing significant economic hardship. The report also shows that in 2014, 7.3% of San Mateo County residents lived in poverty and the County had the highest income gap in California.
