The Partners for Places matching grant program supports local sustainability projects. Since 2012, Partners for Places has supported over 200 projects. Projects include climate resilience and equity for communities most vulnerable to climate impacts. Matching grants range from $45,000 to $150,000 for one to two-year projects. Local foundations are required to provide at least a 50% matching grant. Grantees receive equity-focused coaching plus peer mentorship.  

Grant funds will support: 

Spreading of local Equitable Climate Action (ECA) and/or Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) practices. 

Advancing opportunities for local government, frontline communities, and place-based funders to build trust and develop projects together.
