The San Mateo Food System Alliance (SMFSA) is growing. After years of leadership by staff at Ag Innovations, we are pleased to welcome Samir K. Doshi, Ph.D. as the first ever Network Manager for the SMFSA. The SMFSA supports the production, distribution, preparation and consumption of food for an environmentally sustainable, socially just and economically thriving food system for all San Mateo County residents. Samir brings nearly 20 years of experience as a farmer, ecologist, policy advisor and community organizer to the Network Manager role. He wanted to relay to our Get Health SMC partners that “[he’s] really excited to be working with all those that support the food system — producers, distributors, preparers and consumers — in both the urban and rural areas of San Mateo County to realize a healthy, equitable and sustainable relationship with food that can work for all county residents.”
